28 pages of EARTHnews, official magazine of the EARTHtalks, inform the reader about current issues written by experts.
Not only did the publisher, NEONGREEN NETWORK, have the magazine printed on FSC certified paper, but also on the basis of Cradle-to-Cradle criteria. As such the EARTHnews is the first magazine which – if one does not wish to read – one can at least eat!
To celebrate the second edition, the EARTHnews were also given a new, stamped logo.

SURPRISE WEBSITE

Surveillance, privacy and security are the topics of “surprise” an EU Framework Program 7 research project, conducted by the Austrian Academy of Science and the Institute of Technology Assessment.
The project included the corporate design and the development of a website used for external communication and networking between the various European project partners.

Redesign of the oekostrom® website.
To give oekostrom® a friendly, but also modern and inviting appearance the website was completely redesigned.
In anticipation of the new “oekostrom®-Energiewelt” (energy world) the website was also designed using the structure of natural paper as an inspiration and integrating over-lapping silhouettes.

OEKOSTROM® MERCHANDISING

This piece is a response to the famous “Nuclear Power? No Thanks” button which was designed by a danish student in 1975.
“Renewable Energy? Yes Please” concentrates on sending a positive message by concentrating on alternatives.

VIRALVIDEO

As part of the viralvideo website relaunch a corporate design was developed which fits with the content of the new site, integrates the (already existing) logo and is both cool and multi-funtional.
Using the ‘viral’ theme, different means of viral communication were invstigated. The graphic language of street art and stickers wasdeemed most suitable for viralvideo.
Presented via graffiti and stickers on house walls and in urban areas, the website’s headers provide informaton and orientation. As part of the design of the headers, the logo was adapted to the corporate design and presented in the form of a sticker.

OEKOSTROM® ENERGY WORLD

During the redesign of the oekostrom® website an energy world was also developed.
The aim of the project is the communication of diverse and (in part) also emotional or political information. Graphically the project was implemented using silhouettes which play with light and shadows.
Graphic language:
Renewable energy is most commonly thought about as solar energy.
As such the concept of the oekostrom® energy world centres upon light and shadows, depicted with natural paper in the form of silhouettes.

T-SHIRT CAMPAIGN FOR OEKOSTROM®

T-Shirt campaign for oekostrom®, Austria’s largest supplier of renewable energy.
The lettering for the words “oekostromerin” (translates as: renewable energy user) and “oekostromer” was devised as a series, under the moto of “what type of energy person are you?”. The first design used the theme of “heavy metal”. Flower-power, techno, hip-hop, disco, grunge and soul followed.
