globale kampagne
Save the Amazon

Save the Amazon
On behalf of Greenpeace Netherlands, we developed a global campaign to save the Amazon rainforest. The greatest challenge creating a universal design, which had to be applyable and easily adaptable for all countries worldwide.
In the course of our research, we took a close look at the graphic world of the indigenous people, especially the Munduruku.
Inspired by the beautiful body paintings, patterns and colors, we illustrated symbols such as trees, feathers, leaves or roots which we integrated into our designs.
Creating an independent design, without copying the spirtually meaningful symbols of the indigenous people (to avoid cultural apropiation), was especially important to us.
The result is a series of graphic elements which form a visually striking, yet diverse basis for various actions kick-started by Greenpeace activists around the world (see photos of actions below).
